Who We Are

Located in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, we are a congregation of people from diverse locations, pulled by the beauty, calm energy, and unique environmental geography of this barrier island.

We are a small, caring, inclusive, and welcoming congregation. We welcome and offer friendship to kindred spirits of any race, nationality, religious background, sexual orientation, or gender identity.

We strive to reach our potential as an important voice for social justice in an increasingly polarized society. We are curious people of many beliefs from all corners of the country. We prize education, science, nature, and spirituality, comfortable knowing that we may never solve the mysteries of the universe. We treasure ancient traditions and teachings as well as modern scientific discoveries and enjoy sharing the knowledge we gain with each other in deep discussion.

Shared Unitarian Universalist Values
The UUA has created a visual representation of our values, which put love at the center and interconnect each value.
